Already have Earth Realtime installed? You do not need this page: the app checks for updates by itself and offers the new version when one appears. See Updating an existing install.
System requirements
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. macOS, Linux and mobile builds are on the roadmap.
- 4 GB RAM minimum, with 8–16 GB recommended for the highest render caps. Earth Realtime tunes its memory use to the RAM you actually have, so a higher render limit is only as heavy as your machine allows.
- A GPU with WebGL support, meaning any reasonably modern integrated or discrete graphics.
- About 60 MB of disk space, plus room for any recordings you keep.
- Microsoft WebView2, which the installer adds automatically if your PC does not already have it.
- An internet connection. Every layer is streamed live, so the app needs to be online to show anything; the built-in manual is the only part that works offline.
Updating an existing install
You do not have to come back here. Earth Realtime checks for a newer version on its own and tells you when one is available, with a summary of what changed. You can also ask it at any time from ? → Check for updates. Choosing to update opens exactly the installer linked above.
Installing over an existing copy is safe. The installer upgrades in place: your settings, API keys, saved views, watchlists, geofences, last-seen archive and recordings are kept, and you do not need to uninstall first or re-enter your licence key.

The newest release is at the top. Older entries are kept so you can see how the app has changed, but only the current version is available to download.

Only the current version is available for download. It includes everything from earlier releases, and it is the same version the app installs automatically when it finds an update. The list above is a history, not a download archive.
